    Steamed Tilapia Recipe is a fish commonly seen in Filipino dining tables. You can cook it in a variety of ways. Fresh tilapia has its own flavor and that some may even prefer not to add any spice. However, simply steaming it without putting any condiments will not be enough. The recipe can also be used and adjusted depending on preference.

    The fish should be scaled and cleaned from the inside. The internal organs are usually removed, but the contents of the head can be spared. If the fish is fresh, there is usually no undesirable smell. However, you may also add ginger to add to the flavor and to remove the unwanted smell. Spring onions and garlic are also added for flavor.

    Soy sauce is thrown in for some saltiness, and sesame seed oil can be used if an oriental taste is preferred. The mix of different ingredients for Steamed Tilapia Recipe will eventually produce a smooth and flavorful aroma, and you could easily change the amount of each ingredient whenever you deem appropriate.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 medium tilapia
    • 1 large onion
    • 1 large tomato
    • 25 g butter
    • 1 pc salted egg
    • 1 tsp black pepper

    Instructions
     

    • Put tomatoes, onion, butter and salted egg in an aluminum foil.
    • Add some pepper.
    • Put the tilapia on top.
    • Top with the same layer of ingredients.
    • Seal the fish and throw in the steamer.
    • Cook for 10 - 15 minutes.
    • Serve.
