  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g butter softened to room temperature
  • 4 pcs eggs
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 390 g ube flavored condensed milk 1 can


  • In a bowl, whisk the dry ingredients including flour and baking powder.
  • Using a separate bowl, cream the butter until fluffy. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and ube flavored condensed milk. Mix until well combined.
  • Gradually combine the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Grease a 9" round pan and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Put a wire rack inside an empty big pot and set it to medium heat. Place the pan on top of the wire rack and let it cook for an hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow it cool for 5 minutes before running a knife around the edges to loosen. Invert cake carefully onto a serving plate or cooling rack. Let cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
