Ingredients
1wholebanana blossom
1tbspsalt
1smallonionchopped
3clovesgarlicminced
1smallred bell pepperfinely chopped
1tbspflour
2eggs
½cupcooking oilfor frying
Instructions
Clean the banana blossom and finely chop. See the tips above on how to clean them.
Add 1 tbsp of salt to the banana blossom and let it stand for 5 minutes. Squeeze it by hand to remove excess liquid. It should now be a little bit soft.
In a bowl, combine the banana blossom, onion, garlic, pepper, red bell pepper, flour and egg. Mix until well combined.
Heat a pan over medium heat, add the cooking oil. Scoop the banana blossom mixture and pan-fry for 3-5 minutes on each side or until brown. Remove from the pan, drain excess oil with paper towel.
Serve with hot steamed rice and ketchup for dipping sauce.
