Ingredients
3largepotatoesunpeeled, thinly sliced into ¼ inch thick
1cupmilk
1cupflour
1cupcornstarch
1tbspgarlic powder
½tsponion powder
1tbspChinese Five Spice powder
1tspsalt
1tsppepper
2cupscooking oil
Instructions
Cut the unpeeled potatoes into thin slices, about ¼ inch thick. Set aside.
In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, Chinese Five Spice powder, salt and pepper. Alternatively, you can use the store-brought Crispy-Fry or any fried chicken breading mix. On a separate bowl, pour the milk and set aside.
Heat a pan over medium heat, add cooking oil. While the oil is heating, dip potato slices into the milk then coat it with breading mix.
Carefully drop each potato slices into the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil by placing over a paper towel. Serve with ranch sauce, ketchup or mayonnaise.
