Sinantomas is a sweet and savory pork dish perfect for family dinner. It's consist of pork spare ribs, potatoes, green peas, pineapple juice, soy sauce, banana ketchup and shredded cheese.

Ingredients

  • 450 g pork spare ribs cut into serving pieces
  • ½ cup pineapple juice unsweetened
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp banana ketchup
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 medium potatoes cut into serving pieces
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup water
  • cup frozen green peas
  • ½ cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine pork spare ribs with pineapple juice, soy sauce, banana ketchup, salt and pepper. Put inside the refrigerator and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • In a pan over medium heat, add the oil and pan-fry the potatoes until lightly brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Reduce the oil then sauté the onion and garlic until the onions are translucent. Add the marinated pork spare ribs without the liquid. Cook for 7-10 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  • Add the marinate liquid and ½ cup water. Put back the potatoes, continue to cook until the liquid is reduced.
  • Add in the frozen green peas and shredded cheese. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens. Transfer in a serving bowl and enjoy!
