Tortang Okra is a delicious vegetable omelet made of Okra. It is a healthy alternative for burger patty or ground pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 6 pcs okra sliced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 pcs eggs
  • 2 tbsp flour

Instructions

  • In a pan over medium heat, add some cooking oil and sauté the garlic and onion.
  • Add the okra until slightly tender. Transfer in a bowl and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add the salt, pepper, eggs and flour. Mix thoroughly. 
  • In a pan over medium heat, place ½ cup of the okra omelet mixture forming a round patty leaving ½ inch apart. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and drain excess oil. Serve and enjoy!
