Ingredients

  • 3 cups soy milk
  • 1 sachet gelatin powder I used ALSA Gulaman
  • 4 cups water for boiling the tapioca
  • ½ cup tapioca pearl
  • 1 ½ cup strawberry sliced
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water for the syrup

Instructions

  • In a pot over medium heat, bring to boil the soy milk for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the gelatin powder and continuously mix until the gelatin is completely dissolve. Remove from the heat and transfer to a glass container. Set for 45 minutes.
  • In another pot, boil the water and add the tapioca pearl. Cook for 30 minutes or until it becomes transparent. Drain the water and set aside.
  • To make the syrup, place a small pot over medium heat, put the sliced strawberry then add the sugar and water. Let it boil for 10 minutes until the sauce lightly thickens and the strawberry is tender. You can mash the strawberry to give more flavor.
  • To arrange the taho, use a plastic or transparent glass, scoop the soybean curd until the glass is half-full. Put about 2 tbsp syrup.
  • Add more soybean until ¾ full then put the tapioca pearls. Add more syrup with strawberry pieces on top. Enjoy!
