Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken cut into serving pieces
  • 5 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 3-4 pcs bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp white sugar

Instructions

  • In a pot, add the chicken, garlic, black pepper, bay laves, soy sauce and vinegar. 
  • Turn on the stove to medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the chicken and the sauce from the pan. 
  • Pour cooking oil and put back the chicken. Fry it for 7 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove it from the pan. 
  • Put back the garlic to the pan, cook it turns brown. Add the chicken and soy-vinegar sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. 
  • Add sugar and stir. Serve with hot rice.
