Beef Asado Recipe

Beef Asado is a famous beef recipe for meat lovers in the Philippines. It is usually sold in Food Courts or Karinderya (Food Stalls) found everywhere. There are different variations how it is cooked and I think this is the best in terms of taste.

Ingredients

  • 250 g beef
  • 85 g liver spread
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • 4 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 ½ cups water

Instructions

  • Marinate the beef, put it in a mixing bowl, add the soy sauce, calamansi and black pepper.
  • Put it in the fridge for 45 minutes up to 1 hour.
  • Pre heat the pan, put the cooking oil, then sauté the garlic and onion.
  • Add the marinated beef and stir.
  • Now add 2 ½ cups of water and simmer for 30 minutes or until the meat becomes tender.
  • Add the potatoes and let it cook until it becomes tender.

  • Serve.
