Simple adjectives about how delicious this food is cannot fully describe it. It is one of a kind and it will really make your day once you got to taste

    Yes, ginger is one of the ingredients of this yummy dish. It is used to remove the smell of the chicken. As we all know, chickens has this different smell that we need to remove or lessen while cooking.

    Sautéing it with the ginger will do the job. Remember not to overcook it while sautéing. In choosing the vegetables for your Tinola, green papaya is a good choice. Add leaves of siling labuyo in your recipe at the latter part of your cooking. It will really add a unique taste to the dish. Do not pour too much water in your recipe so you can control the taste of the soup.

    The use of salt should also be minimized to avoid your dish getting too salty. Salt is good to our health but remember that too much is not. Use iodized salt instead. It is much better than rock salt. While cooking, always check if the chicken meat is already tender before you add the vegetables.

    This dish is always and will always be a favorite of many Filipinos. Tinolang Manok is a dish that can give you comfort, satisfaction and contentment. Serve it with hot, steamed rice and get ready to be blown with its yummy, luscious taste. You will never get over this wonderful Filipino dish.

    Tinolang Manok is of course usually served for lunch or dinner. It has this wonderful soup with a kick of a little spice from the ginger used in cooking it.

    Ingredients
      

    • 500 g chicken
    • 1 bundle bundle spinach or chili leaves
    • 1 medium medium chayote
    • 1 small small ginger
    • 1 large large onion
    • 4 clove garlic
    • 1 tsp fish sauce
    • salt
    • black pepper
    • cooking oil

    Instructions
     

    • Heat a pot and put some cooking oil.
    • Saute the garlic, ginger and onion .
    • Add the chicken and cook until it changes into white.
    • Pour the fish sauce or patis and let it absorb.
    • Add 2 cups of water and boil until it becomes tender.
    • Add the chayote or sayote.
    • Put some pepper and salt.
    • Cook until the chayote becomes tender.
    • Add the spinach and stir and turn the heat off.
    • Serve.
