Mango Sago Recipe is quick and easy dessert that you can prepare for your families and friends. As a tropical country, the Philippines is abundantly blessed with several tropical fruits that are considered unique because of their original and delicious flavor. Mangoes are one of the top fruits that the country has been producing for a long time, it is also known to be a fruit that the Philippines is most proud of.

Since mango produce is overflowing in the Philippines, the Filipinos took the opportunity to create delightful desserts by using the fruit as an ingredient. Thus, a dessert called mango sago was made.

Mango sago has its foreign roots, being a dessert that was originally discovered in Hong Kong where it was known as mango pomelo sago. However, the Filipino were very good in adapting the recipe and making it their own.

The ingredients in making the dessert are mostly natural food products, like mangoes, sago, and coconut cream. Mangoes are rich in vitamins A and C, and they also have plenteous fiber content which is good for digestion. Sago adds a very interesting twist to the dessert, but it does not limit what it can give by providing antioxidants and healthy starch upon consumption. Coconut milk, on the other hand, is perfect for promoting heart health. This variation of milk gives dishes a more distinct flavor too.

Although mango sago is well-loved as a dessert, Filipinos are more used to eating the sweet delicacy during their afternoon break. Lots of food stalls in the Philippines are selling sweets like mango sago every afternoon, where the people enjoy them as snacks.

The dessert has a creamy consistency because of the milk and cream. The fragrant smell of the mangoes and the coconut milk will leave an impression for every freshly-cooked serving of mango sago recipe. And the eye-pleasing combination of colors yellow and white will make you come back for more.
