    Chicken Macaroni Salad Recipe - Filipinos always crave for that certain sweetness in recipes with pasta like how Filipino spaghetti is more of sweet than sour or aromatic flavor.

    The classic Filipino version of Chicken Macaroni Recipe is usually whipped up during special occasions, such as birthdays or Christmas lunches. What makes it even more special is that it can be served as a main meal, an appetizer, or even as a snack during merienda time.

    For the Chicken Macaroni Recipe, elbow macaroni is usually used, but other variations with different kinds of short-cut pasta can also be cooked. Elbow macaroni is boiled beforehand while the chicken meat is separated from its bones and is shredded to tender pieces.

    Mayonnaise is used to get it all together, and pineapples or even pickles are added for that tangy flavor. Carrots, raisins, and potatoes are then thrown in. To add to the sweetness with a bit of saltiness, cheddar cheese is used to balance it out.

    For a satisfactory flavor, the amount of salt, pepper, and garlic are adjusted depending on the preference. This recipe is easy and simple to follow which makes it perfect for busy family occasions.

    Ingredients
      

    • 500 g elbow macaroni
    • 1 ½ cup mayonnaise
    • 500 g chicken breast fillet
    • 170 g all purpose cream
    • 1 cup pineapple chunks
    • ½ cup raisins
    • ½ cup pickles
    • 1 large carrots
    • 1 large onion
    • 1 cup cheese
    • salt and pepper

    Instructions
     

    • Boil a water in a pot and cook the macaroni for 5 - 8 minutes
    • Drain once cooked.
    • Boil the chicken for 15 - 20 minutes.
    • Shred the chicken into pieces.
    • Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl.
    • Add the all-purpose cream, mayonnaise.
    • Salt and pepper to taste as well as the cheese.
    • Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
    • Serve
