Chicken Fried Rice is a dish that you probably would like to try making for your family.
I know how hard it is to come up with recipes. Especially ones that are delicious, but at the same time easy to make. So I came up with the idea of a simple recipe that all kinds of moms will love. You’ll only be needing one pan to cook all the ingredients. Doesn’t it sound super easy?
Of course, I also included a lot of healthy ingredients. This way, it will be easier to feed your kids some of their veggies. You may also add other ingredients like corn to make it more appealing to the children.
I used vegetable oil as cooking oil for this recipe. But you may use any cooking oil available at home. Or use healthy alternatives like virgin olive oil.
We’ll be needing onion and garlic. They are necessary for cooking any kind of fried rice.
The yummy chicken breast fillet is gonna be the meat and source of protein. Normally, other recipes use ground pork or beef, spam, and the like. But this time, we’ll be using chicken.
Some broccoli florets and carrots for additional health impact and flavor. Fried rice is more enjoyable with veggies.
You can make your cooked rice at the same time. But it is wiser to use leftover rice from the other day.
Eggs will give our fried rice an oriental feel. Plus, they taste the best when added to such a dish.
We’ll be adding soy sauce, fish sauce, tamarind paste, salt, and pepper to enhance the flavor and make it tastier.
Then spring onion as a garnish and additional flavor.
How to make the best Chicken Fried Rice
Get a pan (or wok) and put it in medium heat. Then put vegetable oil.
Cook the onion and garlic until they become translucent. After that, add in the strips of chicken breast and cook again for a few minutes or when they turn white in color.
Add the broccoli florets and diced carrots as you continue cooking. Pour a few more cooking oil to make it easier to cook the remaining ingredients.
Lightly beat the eggs in a medium bowl.
Add the lightly beaten eggs to the pan and continue stir-frying. Do this until the eggs get cooked enough.
Put in the cooked rice. Then the soy sauce, fish sauce, tamarind paste, salt, and pepper next. Continue mixing everything and make the sauces cover all the rice.
Combine the chopped spring onion then mix again for a few seconds. Serve this delicious Chicken Fried Rice while hot.
Chicken Fried Rice
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 300 g chicken breast fillet skinless, boneless, cut into strips
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 medium carrots small diced
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 2 cups white rice cooked
- 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- salt and pepper
- spring onion chopped, for garnish
- In a wide pan or large wok over medium heat. Put the vegetable oil. Sauté the onion and garlic until softened and aromatic.
- Add the chicken breast fillet and cook for 5 minutes until the color change into white.
- Put the broccoli and carrots and continue to cook for another 3 minutes.
- Pour the beaten eggs and cook for another minute. Add the cooked rice and season it with soy sauce, fish sauce, tamarind paste, salt, and pepper. Stir until the color is even. Sprinkle the chopped spring onion and serve immediately.
