    Camaron Rebosado Recipe - Shrimp, as we all know, is a very delicious seafood and it is not only delicious; it is also very healthy as it provides us some necessary vitamins and minerals for our health. In the Philippines, it is one of the favorite seafood of Filipinos.

    They cook shrimps in many different ways and it always make our meals complete and appetizing.

    Shrimps don’t come cheap in the market though. But still, it is in high demands for the consumers. In restaurants and even at home, shrimp dishes are always included in the menu.

    Have you been to Japan and tasted one of their delicacies which is the tempura?

    Maybe you don’t have to go to Japan just to taste their tempura, all you have to do is cook Camaron Rebosado, and you will have the taste of tempura, maybe even better than the Japanese Tempura.

    The main component of this dish is the shrimp. Really, shrimps are undoubtedly famous in the kitchen, isn’t it? In this dish, you have to be very patient.

    Why? Because you have to peel and remove the shell of the shrimps. And be sure that you are very good in frying because you will do a lot of deep-frying in this dish.

    will not be complete without its sweet and sour sauce. In tempura, they usually use soy sauce. But in this dish, sweet and sour sauce will do the magic.

    It will also lessen the taste of too much oil from deep-frying it. This dish will really enhance the appetite of your family or your visitors. Maybe you don’t have to go to Japan because we have our own version, right?

    Camaron Rebosado is considered as the local version of Japanese Tempura here in the Philippines. It is a simple yet a good appetizer dish which is good for all occasions and simple family meals

    Ingredients
      

    • 200 g shrimp
    • 1 pc egg
    • 1 cup flour
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp baking soda

    Instructions
     

    • Beat the egg in a mixing bowl.
    • Add the flour and mix.
    • Pour half cup of water.
    • Add the salt.
    • Add more water as needed.
    • Continuously stir and add the black pepper.
    • Include the rest of the ingredients such as the baking soda and powder.
    • Mix well.
    • Dip the shrimp in the flour mixture.
    • Heat a pan and add a cooking oil.
    • Fry the shrimp until it turns into golden brown.
    • Flip the shrimp to cook the other side.
    • Take it off from the pan and drain with paper towel.
    • Serve.
