They mean completely different and has no direct connection whatsoever but just the name, Asado means barbecue or grill to them while we cook it in a pot and it can also relate to the famous siopao asado.

It has different varieties to us and has evolved throughout time which can be pork, chicken and beef as the based, some may have used other type of meats as well like duck, crocodile or something else but the usual is pork and beef.

What makes it unique is the sauce which is thick, sometimes creamy, sweet and can be sour  too. It is served during festivities, birthdays, Christening and other occasions.

Some families who has the time to cook or they have someone cooking for them eat it during lunch or dinner.

A word of warning though beef contains plenty of cholesterol and is not good to be eaten weekly well the same with pork unless you choose the healthy part of it and not the fatty ones.

Well I hope you learn how to cook this Beef Asado Recipe and enjoy eating it with your friends and family.
